Mavericks' Naji Marshall goes down with injury in fourth quarter of meeting with Clippers
The Dallas Mavericks could have a new injury to monitor in the regular season's last week.
Veteran forward Naji Marshall went down late in Tuesday night's Mavericks-Clippers matchup at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. Marshall sustained an injury in the fourth quarter after going up for a block on Clippers guard Bennedict Mathurin. Both players made contact in the air, then took a hard fall.
Marshall was down on the court for a brief moment before he headed straight to the locker room with a trainer. It appeared he took the brunt of the landing on his left side. The forward posted six points, three steals and two rebounds before his early injury exit.
The Mavericks didn't provide an update on Marshall's condition before the game ended.
This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
