On the potential fit of Bradley Beal with the Boston Celtics

Veteran shooting guard Bradley Beal has been tied to the Boston Celtics as a potential landing spot this offseason. A childhood friend of star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, it is no secret that the St. Louis native would not be upset about a chance to play with his fellow Chaminade alum, and Boston does happen to have an open roster spot.

But the fit is not a great one from a stylistic point of view, nor from the age curve of a ball club with a lot of young wings needing run to develop. Add in the fact that the Celtics have almost no cap space to work with while remaining below the tax, and you can see how this might not be the match made in heaven it could seem at first glance.
