Ravens S Kyle Hamilton reveals a new Chiefs DB as his biggest mentor
During a recent appearance on Sports Radio 810, Baltimore Ravens defensive back Kyle Hamilton reflects on an impactful moment with Kansas City Chiefs safety Alohi Gilman.
"Biggest mentor in football. I mean, there's a plethora of people that have helped me along the way. Alohi Gilman," said Hamilton, "My freshman year at Notre Dame, he talked me off the ledge multiple times. As a freshman coming to camp, part of America I've never really been in. Growing up in Atlanta, going up to South Bend, Indiana, and kind of a brutal story."
Kyle Hamilton says that #Chiefs S Alohi Gilman was his biggest mentor during his first year in college.

Hamilton is a two-time All-Pro safety with the Baltimore Ravens and briefly crossed paths again with Gilman last season as teammates.
"I was playing well in camp. I had, like, three picks on day one of camp, and I was just like, "this is brutal." I hooped in high school. I was like, damn, I should have hooped; it seems a lot more fun," said Hamilton. "But Alohi just was talking to me about the grind, and like everybody's been through it. I put everything in perspective, and then he was on our team (Ravens) last year, so it was a full-circle moment, and he had the same mentality. So I'm sure he's gonna do the same thing in KC."
Kansas City signed Gilman on a three-year, $24.75 million deal with $15 million guaranteed. In 2025, he started all 17 games for the Los Angeles Chargers and the Ravens, recording 90 tackles.
