Real Madrid-linked Diomande returns after vacation as RB Leipzig set for club-record sale

RB Leipzig’s World Cup stars are undergoing performance tests on Monday after the end of their vacations. Real Madrid-bound Yan Diomande is among the returnees as the two clubs are expected to continue talks after breakthrough discussions on Sunday.

Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg and Fabrizio Romano still have contrasting reports regarding the 19-year-old, although Real Madrid are the clear favorites to complete the move this week according to both journalists.

Sky reported on Monday that fresh rounds of talks will continue on Monday, with both parties remaining confident of reaching full agreement. Meanwhile, Romano already tagged “Here We Go” on the deal as he believes they already agreed on a transfer sum and conditions.

Either way, RB Leipzig are on the verge of a club-record sale. Josko Gvardiol’s transfer to Manchester City for €90 million is still the record for RB Leipzig as they already declined multiple €100 million offers for the Ivorian this summer.
