Restricted free agent center Moussa Cisse has reportedly signed an offer sheet with the New York Knicks, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Dallas Mavericks, for whom Cisse played last season, will have 48 hours to match the offer sheet. If they do, the center will return to Dallas. If they don’t, he will sign with New York.

Offer sheets are a way for teams to pursue restricted free agents. The offers must be for two seasons, and the previous team has the option to match the terms of the offer and retain the player.

In Cisse’s case, Charania reported that the center’s salary would be half-guaranteed for the 2026-2027 season and not guaranteed for the second season. Specific financial terms were not reported.

Cisse bounced around college basketball from 2020 to 2025 with stops at Memphis, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss before playing his final season back in Memphis.

The center went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, but spent last season with the Mavericks. Cisse played in 38 games and averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 13.9 minutes per game.

New York made the move in an effort to help replace the production left behind by Mitchell Robinson, who left for the Boston Celtics in free agency.

The Knicks did sign Andre Drummond (32) to a deal, but the addition of Cisse (23) would help give them some younger depth to pair with the veteran.
