Romano: Garnacho rejects Aston Villa, wants only Roma

Not only is the heated debate surrounding Summerville underway, but there are also updates on the Garnacho situation, which appears to have been put on hold.
As Fabrizio Romano reports, Aston Villa and Chelsea, in addition to discussing Rogers’ transfer, also addressed the issue of the Argentine, who has been officially requested by the Villans.
The real news is the player’s firm rejection of a permanent Premier League stay: the winger wants a new challenge in a new league and would walk away to Roma.
The Giallorossi remain in contact with the Argentine player’s agents, following their clear openness to Gasperini’s project last week, and continue to seek the right formula with Chelsea. Garnacho and Summerville are two different paths; Roma are working on both.
