Sacha Coenen sweeps Southwick 250 motos, Cole Davies takes the red plate
Sacha Coenen took the lead from Cole Davies at the halfway point of Moto 2 of the Southwick National to sweep the weekend and earn the overall victory.
Davies got the best start with Levi Kitchen on his back tire, but Coenen was close to the two title contenders.
Coenen got the lead from Kitchen on Lap 1. That battle cost him three seconds to the leader, but Coenen could afford to be patient after winning the first moto by more than 30 seconds.

He could afford to be patient, but he didn't have the ability. He ran into the back of Davies on Lap 4 and almost crashed. Coenen lost three seconds with the incident. This time, he settled into a flow before running down Davies at the midpoint.
Coenen made it difficult on himself with three minutes remaining with a hard crash. He had a 14-second lead over Davies at the moment and was able to remount without losing the lead.
Davies had a sizeable advantage over his points' rival Kitchen and he also found a comfortable pace. Davies finished second in the moto, but was relegated to third overall after finishing seventh in the first race.
Kayden Minear would eventually get around Kitchen for third and robbed the contender of valuable points.
Kitchen finished fourth, which combined with a second-place finish in Moto 1 to place him second overall.
Julien Beaumer rounded out the top five.
Ryder DiFrancesco crashed on Lap 2.
