Seton Hall locks up Shaheen Holloway with long-term extension

The Seton Hall Pirates appear to have taken a major step towards building continuity for their program, as sources told ESPN that the school has agreed to a six-year contract extension with men's basketball head coach Shaheen Holloway.

Holloway is a Seton Hall lifer, having played for the Pirates for four seasons in the late 1990's. He averaged 13.2 points and 5.9 assists over his collegiate career.

As a coach, Holloway has a 70-65 overall record over four seasons with the Pirates. Seton Hall has not made it to the NCAA tournament in that time frame, but they were on the fringes of the top 25 in the AP poll this season.

He was unanimously named Big East Coach of the Year this past season, leading the Pirates to a 21-12 overall record.
