Texas A&M completed a Friday sweep to take the series from Vanderbilt, winning Games 2 and 3 of the doubleheader and outscoring the Commodores 20–4 over the final two contests. The nightcap was all Aggies, ending in a 12–0 run‑rule shutout that left no doubt.

A&M’s offense set the tone early in Game 3, scoring at least two runs in five of the six innings they came to the plate. The Aggies finished with 12 runs on 13 hits and launched four home runs from four different players.

The star of the weekend, however, was sophomore right‑hander Aiden Sims, who delivered a dominant seven‑inning complete‑game shutout. He allowed just three hits, issued no walks, and struck out eight in one of the best outings of his young career.

Game 2 also featured steady pitching, as the rotation held Vanderbilt to four runs despite surrendering 10 hits. It was more than enough for an 8–4 win that evened the series and set the stage for the decisive finale.

A&M’s true freshmen continued to shine as well. Nico Partida, Boston Kellner, and Jorian Wilson combined for four hits, a home run, a double, a triple, and four walks across the doubleheader, further cementing their early‑season impact.

After getting trounced 14–8 in Thursday’s opener, the Aggies responded with urgency, toughness, and production, outscoring Vanderbilt 20–4 in the final two games to secure a must‑win SEC series.

Aiden Sims was lights out
