Stephen Curry’s candid response says it all after Warriors missed on Lebron James

The NBA world continues to discuss LeBron James’ decision to join the Philadelphia 76ers. Stephen Curry’s team, the Golden State Warriors, was reportedly a finalist for his services. However, he ultimately decided to head to the Eastern Conference franchise, and the superstar guard shared his thoughts about it.

Curry has been in the league since 2009 and has a deep understanding of its business side. While many wanted to see him team up with James, the all-time leader in three-point field goals made knew there were many factors to consider.

“That’s why you don’t envision anything until it happens,” Curry said, via The Athletic. “There’s a lot of moving parts.”

Many fans urged James on social media to sign with the Warriors and join forces with Curry and Draymond Green. His decision reportedly came down to which team gives him the best chance of winning another ring.

The 22-time All-Star has four championships under his belt, securing two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers. His last came in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors pitched to James the idea of playing alongside Curry, Green, Jimmy Butler and Kristaps Porzingis. They also have young studs on the roster like Brandon Podziemski and Yaxel Lendeborg, among others. However, the front office’s lack of commitment to building an immediate championship roster reportedly led to the 41-year-old to choose Philadelphia instead.

It would’ve been a dream for many fans to see the two legends wear the same NBA jersey. But Curry may have said it best, stressing that there are aspects to think about before a big-time move comes to fruition.
