PHOENIX – The biggest domino left to fall in NBA free agency is The Decision part two for LeBron James. After choosing to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, many teams have made their pitch for the All-Time scoring leader to join their squad, except the Phoenix Suns because of one man: Dillon Brooks.

The 30-year-old had a career-altering year last season, setting a career high in points. Despite leveling up his play, Brooks didn’t lose any of his Villain antics, and he continues in the offseason. He has had multiple run in with James during the season and in an appearance on a NBA2K league show, Brooks laid out a plea and a prediction for the future Hall of Famer’s next team.

Brooks predicts James’ next team:

Brooks believes James will join the Golden State Warriors, which might be wishful thinking. Despite reports of the final three teams in the running being the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat, the nine-year pro wants him in the Pacific division. If James signs with the Warriors, then the Suns and Brooks would face off against his rival four more times next season.

James signing outside of the division could make Brooks lose his rival status that he’s worked hard to cultivated the past year. Even after being eliminated in the NBA playoffs, Brooks made sure to appear courtside for Game 4 of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Lakers conference semifinals to watch James get eliminated.

Regardless if Brooks prediction is correct, the antics against James will be at an all-time high for the 2026-2027 season, as many believe this could be the retirement tour for the 41-year-old.
