‘Super fast player’ – Barcelona told what to expect from Karim Adeyemi by Dortmund star

Barcelona have been told what to expect from Karim Adeyemi by Borussia Dortmund star Yan Couto.

Adeyemi is set to complete his transfer to Barcelona this week, and his old team-mate Couto has shared a bit of insight into the forward’s style of play

“He’s a super fast player, incredible the speed he has. He’s very strong in one-on-one, he makes good dribbles and has a very good left-footed shot,” he told Cadena SER.

“He’ll always exploit counterattacks. His speed is a very big differential compared to other players. I think he will bring a lot to any team he goes to and now, at Barça, he will also help a lot.

“He can play both on the right and on the left. On the left he can exploit his preferred foot more, but he performs very well on both sides.

“He’s a striker with a lot of quality, he’s still young and has plenty of potential to play for Barça.”

Couto, who spent time in La Liga with Girona, also thinks Adeyemi will adapt quickly to life in the Spanish top flight.

“The Bundesliga is a more physical league, but with his speed, his dribbling and his shot, I don’t think he’ll have any problems. On the contrary, he will be a player who will add a lot,” he added.

“He is a very focused boy, he is always with his wife and his people. In addition, he is very cheerful and always jokes,”

“We were always together, making jokes and enjoying ourselves. We had a very good connection because he’s a very happy guy. He knows Barça players who have a similar personality, cheerful and joking. I think everything will go very well.”

Barcelona are expected to announce Adeyemi shortly and he will then be presented as the club’s latest summer signing.
