Swiss young star Manzambi likely to miss match against Argentina
Switzerland's young star Johan Manzambi will likely miss the World Cup quarter-finals clash against defending champions Argentina on Saturday.
"We still had hopes until this morning. But I don't think you can recover from an injury like that in such a short time," coach Murat Yakin said after the 4-3 win on penalties against Colombia in the last 16.
Manzambi missed the match against Colombia after he was forced to cut training short the day before the game. It's not exactly clear what he's struggling with, Yakin said.
The coach added that he's not sure whether Manzambi would be available for a potential semi-final.
"Luckily he's not in pain. Let's see what happens over the next day or two," Yaking said.
Manzambi is Switzerland's top scorer at the tournament with three goals. He has also provided two assists.
