Syracuse men’s basketball: Orange to play Central Connecticut State in 2026-27

Syracuse Orange men’s basketball fans now know another game that will be on the schedule for upcoming year.

Syracuse will face Central Connecticut State at home as part of its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season, the program announced Tuesday. The game will take place Thursday, November 5. This is the eighth confirmed/reported non-conference matchup for the Orange, who will be entering its first season under new head coach Gerry McNamara.

This is also just the second all-time matchup against Central Connecticut State. The Orange last played the Blue Devils in December 2012 and won by 34.

So far, Syracuse’s non-conference home slate includes Central Connecticut State, UAlbany, and Lafayette.

• November 9: Indiana (Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis)
• November 21: Lafayette (JMA Wireless Dome)

• December 19: Providence (TD Garden, Boston)

• Exhibition Game, October 13: UConn (Mohegan Sun, Uncasville)

Adding Central Connecticut State means the Orange will have six remaining non-con game spots to fill out. Sources had previously told TNIAAM that it’s likely Colgate and Cornell would be part of the slate.
