Three-time Cy Young Award winner dominates Red Wings in rehab start

Facing three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer on a rehab assignment, the Rochester Red Wings managed just three hits in a 9-2 loss to Buffalo on Wednesday at Sahlen Field.

Robert Cranz was charged with four unearned runs while recording only two outs as the Bisons built a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Six Red Wings pitchers combined to allow eight hits and nine walks, with Jack Sinclair the only one to put up two shutout innings in relief.
