Titans' Tony Pollard had one of the NFL's best runs in 2025
The Tennessee Titans didn't have many signature moments during the 2025 season, but one play stood above the rest. Starting running back Tony Pollard's electrifying 65-yard touchdown against the Cleveland Browns was recently recognized as one of the NFL's top 10 runs of the 2025 season.
The highlight served as a reminder of exactly why the Titans continue to rely on Pollard as a focal point of their offense. In a year filled with impressive rushing plays across the league, Pollard's burst, vision, and finishing speed were enough to earn national recognition.
Titans need more big plays on offense and fewer on defense in 2026
Stating the obvious here, but the Tennessee Titans' offensive struggles came from their lack of explosive plays. On the flip side, their defense made the same list as Indianapolis Colts' running back Jonathan Taylor made the top 10 list three times, with two of his runs coming against the Titans.
Pollard's run ranked 10th, while Taylor's runs against Tennessee ranked sixth (46-yard touchdown run) and fourth (80-yard touchdown run). Taylor is arguably the best running back in the NFL, so it isn't fair to expect Pollard to match his level.
However, Pollard's ending in 2025 (93 yards per game in his last six) needs to be more consistent throughout the season (92 yards was his highest total through the first 11 games). Also, the Titans' revamped defense can't afford to give up the big chunk runs they gave up last season.
