Tyreek Hill has no power in his left leg, still looking for NFL team

Former Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill remains a man without a team.

Hill, who has been a free agent since February, is still recovering from the horrific knee injury that ended his 2025 season in late September. He dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL, against the New York Jets on Sept. 29. He had the first of two surgeries on Sept. 30, posting on social media on Oct. 1 that it "went great."

Hill posted a video titled "CHEETAH REBORN" on Instagram on July 22 - 10 months after his two surgeries - showing him working out in his swimming pool and running in his backyard in Miami. He reminded us that he almost lost his left leg and was told he might not be able to walk normally again. He says he still does not have any power in his left leg.

"I'm not telling you what my timeline is. Timeline is looking real good right now man," Hill says in the video. "It's one day at a time."

Hill was one of the NFL's top receivers in four seasons with the Dolphins, leading the league in receiving in 2023. His Dolphins' career was most dynamic in his first two seasons with 238 receptions for 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns.

The Dolphins released Hill, 31, on Monday, Feb. 16. It was the highest-profile move from a wave of player transactions during the offseason. Jaylen Waddle, Hill's fellow star wide receiver with the Dolphins, was traded to the Denver Broncos. Miami saved $22.9 million in 2026 cap space by releasing Hill while eating a $28.2 million dead cap hit this year.
