LAS VEGAS – Benoit Saint Denis plans to bring a full-scale war to UFC 329.

Saint Denis (17-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC), a top contender at 155 pounds, expects his fight against Paddy Pimblett (23-4 MMA, 7-1 UFC) to be a wild, bonus-worthy fight. The fight goes down at Saturday's UFC 329, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena. Saint Denis will have tough competition, given the other matchups on the card, but he's fully confident his performance will shine.

"It's a privilege to be here in such a huge card, and of course, it's a huge fight," Saint Denis said at Wednesday's UFC 329 media day. "I'm fully concentrated on what I have to do and delivering you a Fight of the Night performance."

Not only did Saint Denis get a co-main event spot on this year's UFC International Fight Week event, but he also got one of the hottest names in the company in Pimblett. Saint Denis is not surprised he's getting a big step-up promotionally.

"Not to much," Saint Denis said when asked if he was surprised by the matchup. "I do believe I put myself in a small group conversation, and it was part of it. It's a huge fight, and I'm not underestimating him."

Saint Denis has made it clear that his ultimate goal is to be UFC champion. This is certainly a big fight in his career, but he's hesitant about calling for a shot before fighting Pimblett.

"I never say anything before I get my job done," Saint Denis said. "First of all, I believe you have to do your job, and then you can hear me loud and clear."
