July is perhaps the quietest month on the entire sports calendar. However, there are still a few notable events this month, including the WNBA All-Star Game.

For the second consecutive year, USC will be represented in the event by former Women of Troy star Kiki Iriafen. The league unveiled its rosters for the game this week, and Iriafen will make her second all-star appearance in a row as a part of Team Spoon (as selected by former WNBA star Teresa Weatherspoon).

After spending the first three years of her college career at Stanford, Iriafen transferred to USC for her senior season in 2024-2025. In her lone year with the Trojans, Iriafen averaged 18.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Teaming up with superstar Juju Watkins, she helped lead the Trojans to a Big Ten regular season title, a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and a trip to the Elite Eight.

The Washington Mystics selected Iriafen with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Less than two years into her career, she has already emerged as a star in the league, averaging 15.0 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest this season.

This year’s WNBA All-Star game will be played on July 25 at United Center in Chicago.
