Vanderbilt basketball SEC schedule released for 2027
Vanderbilt basketball will start and end its 2027 SEC slate with Tennessee, as the league announced conference schedules July 27.
In addition to permanent home-and-home opponents Tennessee and Kentucky, the Commodores will also face a home-and-home against Texas A&M in 2027.
Vanderbilt figures to be one of the SEC's more exciting young teams after retaining All-American Tyler Tanner and bringing in 4-star wing Gabe Nesmith, who reclassified from the 2027 class. Under Mark Byington, the Commodores also brought in transfers like Ace Glass, Bangot Dak and Sebastian Williams-Adams. Vanderbilt has now qualified for the NCAA tournament in back-to-back years and was a Tanner half-court heave away from the Sweet 16 in 2026.
Each SEC team gets one open date during conference play. For Vanderbilt, that open date is Feb. 16-17.
