When will Auburn football begin its preseason camp? What to know
TAMPA, Fla. — With a little more than a month until Auburn football's season begins, its preseason camp is just a couple weeks away.
The Tigers will kick off their first preseason camp in two weeks, on Aug. 4, head coach Alex Golesh said Monday, July 20. It'll give the program a little more than four weeks until their season-opener, against Baylor on July 29 in Atlanta.
Golesh, who's entering his first season with Auburn after three years at South Florida, went 23-15 helming the Bulls. He brought 13 players with him from South Florida, as well as a large chunk of his coaching staff.
Auburn will make its SEC Media Days appearances, with Golesh, quarterback Byrum Brown, defensive back Champ Anthony and kicker Alex McPherson, on Tuesday.
