The Dallas Wings will be without star guard Paige Bueckers on Monday night against the New York Liberty, the team announced.

Bueckers was involved in a collision at the end of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks. She was checked out for a concussion, and the Wings said that she has, in fact, cleared concussion protocol.

The guard will still miss Monday night’s game, with the team saying she is dealing with soreness and is officially listed as out for rest. Monday’s game against New York is the second of a back-to-back for Dallas.

Bueckers and the Sparks’ Nneka Ogumike accidentally collided in the fourth quarter of their game on Sunday. Bueckers took the impact to her legs, but it appeared as if the back of her head may have hit the floor hard.

Both Bueckers and Ogumike were removed from the game, with Bueckers heading to the locker room to get checked out for a concussion. She did not return.

Afterward, the only update from head coach Jose Fernandez was more lighthearted, saying that Bueckers was mainly just upset that Azzie Fudd tripped Ogumike and took away Bueckers’ would-be charge.

The Wings are 17-8 heading into Monday’s game against the Liberty. Bueckers has played in 24 games this season. She is averaging 20.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 33.4 minutes per game.

Bueckers has cleared concussion protocol, but if she has any lingering issues, it could complicate her participation in the upcoming 2026 WNBA All-Star Game on July 25.
