Winner's Willuweit caps unbeaten season with backflip
Feb. 28—WINNER — Apollo Willuweit has been practicing his backflips.
At the beginning of the season, he and his teammates decided how they could celebrate a state title. On Saturday afternoon after winning the 103-pound Class B state championship over Bode Walker, of Canton, he flipped in front of the entire arena.
"I've only done one backflip all season and it was right there," he said. "I practice it a lot in practice, almost every single day."
Willuweit capped his freshman season with an undefeated record and his second straight state championship.
