Yahoo College Fantasy Football: Texas A&M's top five players

Entering the first season with a college fantasy football format, there are various Texas A&M representatives projected to be among the nation's elite players in 2026.

The Aggies finished the 2025 regular season with an 11-1 overall record and 7-1 mark in the Southeastern Conference, before losing to the Miami Hurricanes in the first round of the College Football Playoff. After landing an impressive No. 4-ranked transfer portal haul and a No. 17 recruiting class, head coach Mike Elko has a plethora of electric talent to reach the playoff again this year.

Texas A&M's success will depend heavily on the progression of quarterback Marcel Reed, who enters his junior campaign as the No. 17 quarterback and No. 143 overall player in the preseason fantasy football list. Reed threw for 3,169 yards (No. 3 in the SEC) and 12 touchdowns (No. 1 in the SEC) in 2025, while also rushing for 493 yards and six scores on the ground.

He'll have the opportunity to make some explosive plays with returning wide receiver Mario Craver and Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton catching passes for the gunslinger, making them potential breakout options for the first college fantasy football mode offered by Yahoo Sports. Running backs like Rueben Owens II and rising freshman KJ Edwards bring physicality, grit and electrifying speed to the Aggies' backfield, which could provide users with solid late-round running back options for upcoming drafts.
