Vanderbilt football recruiting: Tracking 2026 commits for Commodores, Clark Lea

Vanderbilt football has begun to assemble its 2026 recruiting class.
The Commodores are hoping to build off a strong 7-6 season in 2024 in a way they couldn't with their 2025 class, which ranked just 77th nationwide. The majority of the players in that class committed before the success of the 2024 season, which included a win over Alabama.
The early signing period for the 2026 class begins Dec. 3.

WR Keeyshawn Tabuteau
Hometown / School: Chattanooga, Tenn. / McCallie School
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 537 player nationally
Tabuteau, a 5-11 wide receiver, committed June 17. He had offers from several other SEC schools, including Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee.
Edge Jace McCallum
Hometown / School: Harrisburg, N.C. / Hickory Ridge
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 426 player nationally
McCallum, who is 6-4 and 220 pounds, committed June 11. He had no other SEC offers but chose Vanderbilt over several ACC schools, including Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
DL Daryl Campbell
Hometown / School: Katy, Texas / Paetow
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 569 player nationally
Campbell, a 6-2, 300-pounder, committed May 9. He chose Vanderbilt over Syracuse, Oklahoma State and Cal.
S Chris Tangelo
Hometown / School: Potomac, Md. / The Bullis School
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 644 player nationally
Tangelo has good size for a safety, at 6-4.5 and 195 pounds. He committed June 8 over offers from Virginia and Cincinnati.
TE Tilden Riley
Hometown / School: Orangeburg, S.C. / Orangeburg Prep
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 598 player nationally
Riley, a 6-5, 211-pounder, committed June 28. He chose Vanderbilt over South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
QB Michael Mitchell Jr.
Hometown / School: San Francisco, Calif. / Archbishop Riordan
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 590 nationally
Mitchell is just 5-10, but he became the first commit in the 2026 class on September 21, 2024. He also had offers from Stanford, Arizona State, Ole Miss and Arkansas, among others.
RB Izayah Lee
Hometown / School: Lancaster, Texas / Lancaster
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 515 nationally
Lee, who is 5-11, 190 pounds, committed June 7. He chose Vanderbilt over TCU.
OT Tripp Skewes
Hometown / School: Englewood, Colo. / Kent Denver School
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 1157 nationally
Skewes committed July 1. He is 6-foot-7, 300 pounds and chose the Commodores over Colorado, North Carolina and Texas Tech.
WR Kahden Smith
Hometown / School: Tuscaloosa, Ala. / Hillcrest
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 992 nationally
Smith committed May 8. He is 6-2, 185 pounds and chose Vanderbilt over Liberty, Stanford and Mississippi State.
TE Adam Gehm
Hometown / School: Harmony, Penn. / Seneca Valley

Gehm committed June 9. He is 6-6, 235 pounds and had offers from Georgia Tech, Louisville and Wisconsin.
S Karaijus Hayes

Hayes committed April 13. The 5-11, 170-pounder also had offers from Georgia Tech, Miami and Missouri.
OL George Haseotes
Hometown / School: Naples, Fla. / Community School of Naples

Haseotes committed April 28. The 6-3, 280-pounder had offers from several other SEC schools, including Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M.
LB Daniel Vollmer
Hometown / School: Cincinnati, Ohio / St. Xavier
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 1441 nationally
Vollmer committed Feb. 2. The 6-2, 210-pound athlete had offers from Cincinnati, Indiana and Duke.
Edge Joey Quinn
Hometown / School: Chicago, Ill. / Mount Carmel

Quinn, who is 6-6 and 250 pounds, committed March 26. He also had offers from Missouri, Louisville and Iowa State.
CB Collin Flanigan
Hometown / School: Oxford, Miss. / Oxford
247Sports Composite ranking: 3-star, No. 843 nationally
Flanigan committed June 9. The 6-2, 170-pounder chose Vanderbilt over a list of offers that included Tulane and Troy.
