WNBA Reacts to Angel Reese's Pass on Sunday
WNBA Reacts to Angel Reese's Pass on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Ever since she made it to the WNBA in 2024, Angel Reese has been known as a rebounding machine.
The Chicago Sky star has earned the "Double-Double Barbie" nickname for a reason. In her first year in the pros, she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds — even recording 26 point-rebound double-doubles in 34 games played.
Reese, however, dished out just 1.9 assists per game in the past campaign, leaving much to be desired when it comes to her playmaking.
This 2025 season, the Sky forward has made huge strides in that area and has become a better passer overall. Entering Sunday's showdown against the Los Angeles Sparks, Reese was averaging 3.6 assists per game.
Even better, Reese also showed during the Sky-Sparks game how much she has improved as a passer. At the half, she already tallied four assists, with her fourth one even impressing the WNBA.
After receiving the ball from Rebecca Allen, Reese found a cutting Ariel Atkins and quickly sent the ball her way, resulting in an easy layup. The WNBA heaped praise on her "court vision" as it detailed the play.
"Angel Reese has her court vision on full display," the WNBA wrote. "She finds a cutting Ariel Atkins for her 4th assist in the half!"

Sure enough, several fans were also left in awe by Angel Reese's play and took to the comment section to react to it.
"Angel Reese is really showing off her playmaking skills—that pass to Ariel Atkins was smooth," a fan wrote. Another one said, "That was nice."
"HALF?!?!! OKAY MA," an impressed viewer added.
Reese finished the game with 24 points and 16 rebounds, along with seven assists. With her leading the way, the Sky beat the Sparks, 92-85.
