A combined no-hitter: Vote for the C&I Baseball Player of the Week
Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week Poll.
High school sports fans can vote for which baseball players they think were standouts during the previous week.
The poll will be open from Tuesday through Monday. The winner will be announced on Tuesday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.
Rules of the Road
Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.
This week's candidates
Hudson Cambal, Dennis-Yarmouth
Cambal went six innings, recorded seven strikeouts and allowed just two hits in a 10-0 victory over Mashpee.
Joe Coughlan, Sandwich
Coughlan went 2-for-3 with a triple, home run and an RBI for the Blue Knights as they beat Monomoy 9-4. Coughlan struck out six and allowed two hits in three innings on the mound.
Oscar Johnson, Barnstable
Johnson helped fuel the Redhawks offensively going 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in a 9-6 win over Sandwich.
Brian Mancinelli, St. John Paul II
Mancinelli (9 Ks) was one half of a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over Nauset.
Hunter Mayo, Sturgis
Mayo went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an excellent defensive game behind the plate as catcher in a 9-5 win over Atlantis Charter.
Henry Roy, St. John Paul II
Roy (8 Ks) was the other half of the no-hitter against Nauset.
Devyn Shultze, Upper Cape
Shultze pitched six strong innings, allowed one run and two hits, while striking out 10 with no walks in a 7-1 win over Diman.
Eric Stanley, Barnstable
Stanley led the Redhawks in a victory over Sandwich going 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run, a double and four runs scored. He earned the save as well pitching a scoreless seventh inning with three strikeouts.
Mason Tomilson, Cape Tech
Tomilson hit a two-run homer for the Crusaders in a loss to Diman.
