Former Indianapolis Colts' kicker Adam Vinatieri will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 8, and principal owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon will be the presenter.

The Colts' social media team captured the moment when Vinatieri asked Irsay-Gordon to present.

"I just wanted to come in and say thank you so much for everything that you and your family have done for me. It's been such a wonderful ride," Vinatieri said. "I can't even express to you how much you guys have all meant to me and I'd be super, super honored if you'd present me."

Vinatieri added, "If you're willing to do it, I would absolutely love it if you would put me into the Hall of Fame."

Mike Chappell of FOX59 posted that had Vinatieri been a first-ballot Hall of Famer, late owner Jim Irsay would have been the presenter.

Vinatieri will enter the Hall of Fame as the NFL's all-time leader in career points. He also holds the record for most consecutive field goals made with 44, career field goals made with 599, and most postseason points as well.

Vinatieri spent14 seasons with the Colts, where he made 85.3 percent of his field goal attempts. In the playoffs, Vinatieri made 81.2% of those attempts.

He was a three-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro in his career. Vinatieri also won four Super Bowls, including one with the Colts in 2006.

Vinatieri will also be inducted into the Colts' Ring of Honor in Week 6 of this upcoming season.
