  • Missed much of this game due to work and being a Dad on this Friday night, but will throw up some notes along with the full recap in a bit.

Comment of the Game

I wasn’t able to partake in the GameDay Thread tonight, and it appears I wasn’t the only one marked Absent tonight as there were only 165 comments at time of publishing. Of the Sedona Red comments, I immediately singled out this thread covering one of the biggest sequences of the game by Sneeks and Snake_Bitten:

Coming Up

The Diamondbacks face the Nats for the second game of this pivotal 3-game set tomorrow afternoon with a 4:05pm first pitch Arizona time. In a rare matchup of southpaws, Foster Griffin (11-2, 2.68 ERA) is listed as the probable starter for The District and young Mitch Bratt (0-0, 5.06 ERA) will get the ball for the good guys. Bratt will have to be full brat if we’re going to beat the very good Griffin tomorrow. Tune in and swing by the Pit to see if he can!

Scoreboard Watching

Oh yes, it’s that time of year Diamondbacks fans! Will update with some scores from around the NL Wild Card race as we pursue a playoff spot over the next couple months.
