Diomande has “more than enough qualities to succeed at Real Madrid,” says Leganes CEO
Real Madrid are set to announce the signing of Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande over the next few days, and Leganés CEO Martín Ortega talked to Radio MARCA about his former player.
“He made his debut at the Bernabeu when he was 18 years old and was unfazed. He has an incredible amount of self-confidence. He has Lamine Yamal’s ability to break the defense apart and Dembele’s ability to play with both his right and his left foot. I’m sure that he has more than enough qualities to succeed at Real Madrid,” said Ortega when asked about Diomande.
Real Madrid and Leipzig are still finalizing the details of this transfer and Diomande himself rejoined Leipzig’s squad in training this Monday. However, it seems that an agreement between all parts involved is truly close and that the signing could be official this week.
