FIFA World Cup 2030 marks 100 years. Spain, Morocco, Portugal to host

The final and most important 2026 World Cup match has commenced Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium, as Spain and Argentina go head-to-head in hopes of winning it all.

Argentina is fighting for its fourth title — previously winning in 1978, 1986, and in 2022, against Kylian Mbappé and France. Spain men's national team won the title back in 2010, and its women's team recently won in 2023.

The soccer tournament, which occurs every four years, returns in June 2030, celebrating its centennial milestone.

The 2026 World Cup Final starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19.

Fans can watch the 2026 World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain on Fox (English) or on Telemundo (Spanish).

The match will also stream on Fubo and Peacock (Spanish).

Where is World Cup Final being played?

The Spain vs. Argentina World Cup match will be played at MetLife Stadium — which FIFA is calling New York New Jersey Stadium for the World Cup — in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It's home to the NFL's New York Giants and Jets.

Who is hosting 2030 World Cup?

Morocco, Portugal and Spain are set to be the hosts of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Three celebration games will be held in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the inaugural tournament.

The tournament will begin June 8, 2030, with centenary ceremonies and opening matches.

The Spain-Portugal-Morocco World Cup will be the second in a row co-hosted by three countries after the USA-Canada-Mexico 2026 tournament became the first to do so. For the 2030 tournament, all six hosts – including Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay – automatically qualify.

Host cities and stadiums have not been officially finalized yet, but the current list of proposed venues include:

• Spain (11 stadiums)

Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid each have two stadiums under consideration.
