Dak Prescott has spent his entire Dallas career under a microscope. National experts like Skip Bayless have spent years questioning whether he can actually win the big games, blaming him for every early playoff exit, no matter who dropped a pass or missed a tackle.

That constant criticism treats Prescott like a robot, ignoring how much he matters to his teammates. Jourdan Lewis knows the reality, and he is calling out the noise.

The former Cowboys defensive back spent eight seasons with Prescott before signing a three-year, $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He recently went on the “Just Earn It” podcast to set the record straight on his old quarterback.

"I love Dak. I love the type of leader he is. I love the type of player he is," Lewis said. "He's gone through so much, and he fights back every single time. I believe in the quarterback, and you need that in the NFL. You have to believe in the quarterback. That's No. 1, and I believed in him."

That loyalty matches what Prescott has actually done on the field. He is entering his 11th season as the Cowboys' all-time passing leader and needs just five more touchdown passes to break Tony Romo's franchise record. He has kept the starting job since his rookie year, dealing with injuries, constant roster changes, and heavy pressure without losing his spot.

According to Lewis, a team has to believe in its quarterback before worrying about the stat sheet. Critics can keep picking apart throws and turnover numbers, but as a former teammate, Lewis believes in Prescott because he spent real time with him on the field.
