Former Lady Vols star Glory Johnson is now firefighter at Karns Fire Department
Former Lady Vols basketball star Glory Johnson is now a Karns firefighter after graduating from the program on July 9.
Johnson joins a Karns Fire Department led by former Tennessee football linebacker Herman Lathers, who became the first full-time KFD chief in September. Lathers joined KFD as a firefighter in 2018 and took over as fire chief when the new KFD headquarters opened in Hardin Valley.
Johnson posted videos of her being sworn in at her graduation ceremony and of her hugging her daughters when she made the announcement on Instagram.
"Graduation was an Honor . . . but sharing the moment with my two heartbeats made it truly UNFORGETTABLE," Johnson wrote in a post.
