Klint Kubiak isn’t scared of the QB sneak
There are expected to be big changes that result in big improvements for the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense under new head coach and playcaller Klint Kubiak in the 2026 season.
One of those areas may be in a very simple form —- the quarterback sneak.
According to NFL analyst Ryan Paganetti (a former Raiders; employee), In his history as a playcaller, Kubiak has called for a quarterback sneak on 22.5 of the plays from the opponent’s one-yard line. That is the eighth highest rate among 2026 playcallers. Here’s the full list:
So, maybe we will see quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and rookie Fernando Mendoza (when he takes over) plunging into the goal line at a reasonably high rate this season. At 6-5, 236 pounds, Mendoza could be a nice weapon in that area as he showed in the National Championship game.
