The 28-year-old is a Crystal Palace youth product who established himself as one of the finest right-backs in the Premier League, earning a £50 million transfer to Manchester United in the summer of 2023. The London native had his highs and lows at Old Trafford, so he ended up joining West Ham in 2023 for £15 million.

Wan-Bissaka was considered a key player for the Hammers, but he’s no longer part of the club’s project after falling out with his head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo. But despite becoming an outcast, the recently relegated club doesn’t intend to sell the Congolese international at a discount.

West Ham ‘Insulted’ as Lazio Offer €10m for Wan-Bissaka

According to Claret & Hugh, Lazio sent West Ham a €10 million bid for Wan-Bissaka, but the English club was ‘insulted’ by the offer, as they believe the full-back is worth at least double the figure, especially following his impressive World Cup campaign. The player is also tied to the Hammers with a long-term contract, running until June 2031.

Lazio’s Transfer Plans

Lazio may have sensed an opportunity to recruit a vastly experienced player with several good years left in the tank. However, it should be noted that the club’s priority is to sign a striker and another centre-back alongside Danilho Doekhi.

On the other hand, Gennaro Gattuso already has three right-backs at his disposal in Adam Marusic, Romano Floriani Mussolini, and Manuel Lazzari, with the latter expected to leave. While Wan-Bissaka would be an upgrade on all three, Lazio are likely to focus on bolstering other roles.
