Liv Morgan names the WWE superstar who compares to Lionel Messi and predicts World Cup winner

Liv Morgan of WWE has been asked about Lionel Messi and the 2026 World Cup final this week.

This year’s showpiece takes place on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium and will see Messi’s Argentina face Spain as they aim to lift the trophy for a second tournament in a row.

Ahead of the tie, Liv Morgan has been speaking to Sports Illustrated and said she is the WWE version of Messi.

She was asked: “Who is the WWE comp of Messi?”

Morgan responded by picking herself, stating: “The greatest Women’s World Champion of all time, the Liv Morgan.”

In a separate clip shared by Sports Illustrated from the same event, Morgan was among the celebrities asked to name the winner of the World Cup final this week.

She backed Argentina to go back-to-back, with fellow WWE superstar Cody Rhodes also picking Messi’s side to emerge victorious from the final.

This is expected to be Messi’s final World Cup before he retires from soccer, and winning the tournament for a second time would certainly be an amazing way to sign off.

But Spain head into the game in good form and also as the current champions of Europe following their Euro 2024 triumph.
