Michigan State football has oldest roster in Big Ten conference

Training camp is right around the corner, and Michigan State football is looking to find their footing in the first year of the Pat Fitzgerald era in East Lansing. The Spartans are coming off of four terrible years, and will need a big year to turn the program around.

Going into the year, with a newly constructed roster by Fitzgerald, Spartans will have experience on their side. In a list compiled from data off of RotoWire, the Spartans have the oldest roster in the Big Ten by average age, while ranking No. 15 nationally. The Michigan State roster has an average age of 20.64.

With such an old roster, Michigan State should be able to take the year on the chin, and overcome adversity en route to stabilizing the program.
