Norwegian World Cup flight to Miami quarter-final sells out instantly
A special flight laid on for Norwegian World Cup fans from Oslo to Miami has sold out almost immediately, according to airline Norse Atlantic Airways.
Norway stunned record five-time winners Brazil on Sunday to set up a quarter-final with England in Miami on Saturday. Norway's men have never been so far in a World Cup before.
"The interest in the World Cup flight to Miami was huge, it was fully booked within seconds," airline chief executive Eiving Roald told Norwegian outlet Dagbladet on Monday.
"We could easily have filled three or four planes with Norwegian fans."
The company is now examining whether it can put on another direct flight.
