Pro Bowl OT shows Myles Garrett major respect in pass-rusher rankings

Los Angeles Rams defender Myles Garrett is a certified game-wrecker. His physical ability, paired with his work ethic and instincts, paved the way for Garrett to achieve a Hall of Fame-worthy career at only 30 years of age. Finally, on a team that can support his championship efforts, Garrett is looking towards what could be the best football of his life.

Garrett looks to be the next great Rams edge rusher to help the team secure a championship. He's aiming to be what Von Miller was for the team in 2021, which will require him to balance the responsibility of having the impact that Miller had, while dealing with the attention that Aaron Donald often received as the focal point of the pass-rushing attack.

The good news is that Garrett is built for the moment, and the NFL's best agree. Buffalo Bills left tackle and five-time Pro Bowler Dion Dawkins was recently asked to name the top three defensive linemen he's played against, naming Garrett as his No. 1 opponent.

Dawkins also named Von Miller and Trey Hendrickson to wrap up his list, while also showing love to former Bills defender Jerry Hughes and the Houston Texans' defensive line.

Considering the high level of players Dawkins deals with every week, his endorsement of Garrett suggests the Rams' new playmaker will rise to the occasion now that he's on a team with championship standards.

On a defense filled with playmakers, Garrett's greatness should multiply in the Southern California sunshine. The Rams have the offensive firepower to support his record-setting efforts on defense.
