The Houston Rockets have signed former NC State guard Quadir Copeland to a two-way contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
Copeland was an All-ACC third-team selection, averaging 13.9 points, 6.5 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals while shooting 39.7% from 3-point range. He ranked 11th in the country in total assists with 222, the 10th-most in a single season in program history.
The undrafted Copeland was one of three players to average at least 13 points, six assists and 1.7 steals per game last season. He recorded 10-plus assists four times, including 16 on Feb. 3, the most without a turnover by any player over the past seven years.
