Sean Strickland Ejected from UFC 250 After Unauthorized Entrance

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was expelled from UFC 250 after attempting to gain unauthorized access to the event. Strickland made headlines when he leaped into the ring, prompting immediate intervention from security personnel who swiftly escorted him out. Although he was not taken into custody, Strickland mentioned on Instagram that he might face a disorderly conduct charge. “I may have been charged with disorderly conduct. I don’t know what that is but it sounds cool,” he stated. “Anyways, I just want to thank you fans. I can’t thank you guys enough. After being banned, you guys riding, supporting me, it means a lot to me.”

In a subsequent post, Strickland shared an image capturing the moment he was removed from the highly-publicized event hosted by President Trump. “Sorry you guys,” he wrote. “We almost made it! Promise one day, we will set up a circle and box. Thanks for your support.”

The UFC event, which is part of President Trump’s vision for celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, has been in the works since last July. During a rally in Iowa, Trump mentioned, "Every one of our national park battlefields and historic sites is going to have special events in honor of America 250. We’re going to have a UFC fight — think of this — on the grounds of the White House."

This ambitious event, which has faced significant controversy and legal challenges, is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 125,000, with an additional 75,000 ticket requests reported. The UFC is covering the estimated $60 million cost of the event. Despite concerns over potential thunderstorms in the Washington D.C. area, the fight is set to proceed as scheduled.
