Shawnee State volleyball announces 2026 schedule
Shawnee State volleyball has announced its 2026 schedule, which features 10 home games, nine road contests and nine neutral-site matches.
The Bears will begin their 38th season on Friday, Aug. 28, in Berea, Kentucky, as part of a two-day, four-match slate. Shawnee State will square off with Kentucky Wesleyan and Kentucky State on Friday before facing Young Harris and Georgetown on Saturday.
The following weekend, Shawnee State will travel to Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus to take on D'Youville on Friday, Sept. 4, before facing Wilmington and Ohio Dominican on Saturday.
The Bears will visit Thomas More in Crestview, Kentucky, on Wednesday, Sept. 9, before hosting Central State on Friday, Sept. 11, for their 2026 home opener.
Shawnee State's first match in the Mountain East Conference will take place on Friday, Sept. 18, in Fairmont, West Virginia, against Fairmont State at Joe Retton Arena. The following day the Bears will travel to T. Edward Gymnasium in Salem, West Virginia for a tri-match against Salem and Livingstone.
The Bears round out their September schedule with matches at Glenville State on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at home against West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, Sept. 25, and at West Virginia State on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
To begin October, Shawnee State will travel to Charleston on Friday, Oct. 2, before welcoming a three-game home stand that includes games against Concord on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Davis & Elkins on Friday, Oct. 9 and Point Park on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The weekend of Oct. 16-17 will see Shawnee State visit West Liberty on Friday and Wheeling on Saturday afternoon.
The Bears will then enjoy their second three-game home stand of the month with games against Glenville State on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Frostburg State on Friday, Oct. 23 and West Virginia State on Monday, Oct. 26.
Shawnee State's final contest in October will be at West Virginia State on Friday, Oct. 30.
Only three regular-season matches will take place in November, with Shawnee State hosting Charleston on Monday, Nov. 2, traveling to Concord on Thursday, Nov. 5, and welcoming Kentucky State to Waller Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The Mountain East Conference Tournament is scheduled to run from Thursday, Nov. 12, through Saturday, Nov. 14. The host site will be announced at a later date.
