TCU Secures Commitment from 2027 WR Kobe Haynes: ‘They’ve Checked Every Box’

TCU continues to gain momentum in its recruiting efforts this summer, securing yet another commitment as the Horned Frogs bolster their 2027 class. Kobe Haynes, a highly sought-after wide receiver, pledged his allegiance to TCU on Monday, following a series of official visits to Baylor, Kansas, Stanford, and the home of the Horned Frogs.

During his recruitment, TCU has consistently distinguished itself, earning praise from Haynes. “I love how bought in they are on me. They make it known that I’m a top prospect for them. I love their facilities and all of the coaches there. They’ve checked every box,” he shared with Rivals. The Whitney (Texas) High standout has seen TCU’s dedication from the fall through the summer, making the program a clear frontrunner.

Key figures in this success include first-year offensive coordinator Gordon Sammis and wide receivers coach Malcolm Kelly, both of whom have been instrumental in securing Haynes' commitment. “I loved seeing the new offense. One of the first plays, they went deep, and I loved to see that. It was eye-opening. It was great reconnecting with them. I love talking to them every time we go down,” Haynes reflected on his experience with the coaching staff.

He further elaborated on his official visit, stating, “Just hanging with the coaches — It’s been really fun. The official visit was great. TCU still feels like a school that fits me for sure. It’s a great fit — just by building relationships, I feel they did that really well.”
