Offense is the name of the game in the NFL. It's what sells the most jerseys, fantasy football is driven solely by it, and it's what most people tune in to see on a weekly basis. One CBS Sports writer had the idea to go through every team's "triplets" of QB, WR, RB trios and rank them, and the Minnesota Vikings did not land nearly as high as some might think.

Jared Dubin of CBS Sports placed the Vikings 18th in the NFL, just ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and just behind the Houston Texans. The trio listed was Kyler Murray, Justin Jefferson, and Aaron Jones. Here's what Dubin had to say about his placement:

Amazingly, the Vikings rank lower than last year despite Murray stepping into the spot vacated by J.J. McCarthy. It's easy to forget, but hopes were high for McCarthy coming into last year. He was just a disaster once he actually got on the field. Murray should be a lot better, but with Jones another year older, the Vikes drop a couple spots despite the fact that Jefferson is smack dab in the middle of his prime and should be far more effective now that he's got a better quarterback under center.

Yes, Jefferson should see an uptick in production. No, Aaron Jones likely won't end the season as the full-time starter, potentially being moved or usurped by rookie Demond Claiborne, who the franchise seems to love so far. But this offense goes as far as Murray takes them, and he will be the deciding factor in a successful season, or going quarterback shopping in the 2027 NFL Draft.
