Ajax warn Barcelona over Marc-Andre ter Stegen transfer
Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s proposed move from Barcelona to Ajax is still yet to be completed and it’s being reported the Eredivisie side are getting frustrated at the situation.
The goalkeeper had been expected to head to the Netherlands last week for a medical and to complete a loan move but the transfer hasn’t progressed that far yet.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ajax are still waiting for Barcelona to finalize some details regarding tax issues and are getting impatient.
The report states the club “want an immediate solution” and “don’t understand the delay” as they believed everything had been agreed.
MD add that Ajax “are so surprised that they warn that if the differences aren’t resolved quickly, there’s a risk the deal could fall through.”
Barcelona are eager to get Ter Stegen’s salary off the wage bill and will want to get this transfer over the line. Ajax have already begun pre-season training, while Barcelona’s players are due back on Monday.
