An early leak suggests that the game's cover showcases Williams striking his famous "Iceman" pose amidst falling snowflakes. The image has garnered attention for its striking design, described as an "icy cover" by fans and observers alike.

The leak surfaced alongside the cover for College Football 27, both of which briefly appeared on the Xbox website before being removed. However, Shane L. Marsaw managed to capture a screenshot of the images prior to their disappearance.

Williams' selection as the Madden 27 cover athlete comes as no surprise following an impressive 2025 season, where he solidified his reputation as one of the league's most reliable quarterbacks.
