Bucky's Celebrity Softball Game Set for June 9 with Exciting Lineup

BEMIDJI — Mark your calendars for June 9 as the Bucky's Celebrity Softball Game returns, bringing together a mix of familiar and fresh faces in a fun-filled evening. Scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. at the BSU Softball Field, this marks the third year of the event, which celebrates the strong ties between Bemidji State University and its community.

The family-friendly affair is part of the Community Appreciation Day series, designed to express gratitude for the ongoing support BSU receives from the local area. Attendees can look forward to various giveaways and prizes throughout the game, with free entry for everyone.

Participants are expected to display a range of skills, from those just in it for enjoyment to more competitive players aiming for the MVP title. While scoreboard records will be kept, the focus remains on fostering fun and camaraderie within the Bemidji community.

The Green Sox team features Morgan Benedict, Sydney Dick, Gwenia Fiskevold Gould, Ben Hoffman, Joy Hoffman, Joel Hoover, Kylan Seats, Travis Winter, Charlie Yaeger, Gary "Ziggy" Zerott, and coach Kristen McRae. Competing against them, the Whitecaps will include Kyle Fodness, Micah Friez, Ashley Gomez, Marah Jacobson, Jacob Masek, Jared Rubado, Megan Steigauf, Harper Vogel, Joe Wegwerth, Samantha Whiting, and coach Linda Newby.
