Farah O'Keefe Energizes USA Team with Strong Performance at Curtis Cup

LOS ANGELES — Farah O'Keefe is known for her bright smile and uplifting presence, which have a remarkable effect on those around her. Regardless of her performance on the golf course, O'Keefe's positive attitude consistently raises the spirits of her teammates. It’s no wonder that she emerged as the standout player for the USA during the opening day of the 2026 Curtis Cup.

Competing at Bel-Air Country Club, O'Keefe was the only player from either team to achieve an undefeated record on Friday. She partnered with Jasmine Koo to secure a victory in the morning's four-ball match and later collaborated with Avery Weed in the afternoon foursomes, contributing to the USA's 4-2 lead heading into Saturday. “It was awesome,” O'Keefe reflected. “I felt like I was -- you know, with both my partners, I felt like both of us were very, very confident coming out of the gate.”

In her role as anchor for both sessions, O'Keefe made a crucial birdie on the 18th hole during the morning, leading her and Koo to a 2-up win. Later, on the par-3 16th hole, she hit a remarkable iron shot that positioned her team for another birdie, sealing the day's matches. “At one point, I think, in the afternoon we were 2-down, and it really didn't feel like it,” she noted, emphasizing the team's resilience and enjoyment throughout the competition.

Kelly Xu, who competed alongside Anna Davis, echoed O'Keefe's enthusiasm, highlighting the strong sense of camaraderie within the team. “There’s not one person that’s not enjoying themselves this week,” O'Keefe added, appreciating the fun-loving spirit and humor that permeate the team atmosphere. “I feel like every single one of these girls also knows how to relax at the end of the day.”

With the USA team showcasing strong unity and a competitive edge, they are poised for continued success as they aim to extend their winning streak at home. Captain Meghan Stasi praised her team's performance, noting, “Having fun, being confident, and trusting your partner,” as key elements of their success thus far.
