Kansas City Chiefs OL Josh Simmons learns tips from veteran players
During a conversation with offensive line expert Brandon Thorn in his film session, Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Josh Simmons shares his thoughts on improving ahead of the 2026 season.
Simmons notes several elite tackles, including retired Green Bay Packers tackle David Bakhtiari, as guides for his game.
"You can tell he's just in his own world," Simmons said, "That's just kind of what I feel like O-line is about, just getting in your own world and just spanking something."

Former Chiefs players mentioned in the technique training conversation were Andrew Wylie and Mitchell Schwartz. Thorn described several factors needed to improve upon heading into Simmons' second season.
"You have a bigger spoonful of what to expect coming into your second year," said Simmons. "You're going into year two with all these tools in your toolbox, and you still have so much to learn."
In 2025, Simmons was a Day 1 starter on Patrick Mahomes' blind side. He fit the part, giving up just one sack in the first five games of the season, according to Pro Football Focus. He missed four games while handling a family matter and then, later, a season-ending wrist surgery.
