Lady Vols basketball guard Deniya Prawl out on SEC injury report
Lady Vols basketball freshman Deniya Prawl was listed as out on the SEC student-athlete availability report on March 4.
Tennessee (16-12) earned a bye in the SEC Tournament and will begin playing in the second round on March 5 (8:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network). Prawl will miss her first game of the season as the Lady Vols face the winner of No. 11 seed Alabama (21-9) and No. 14 Missouri (16-15) at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
The 6-foot-2 guard has been a solid piece of the rotation for Tennessee this season. Prawl has averaged 3.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and a steal in 15.4 minutes per game while shooting 40.4% from the field.
Prawl, a Toronto native, was a five-star recruit ranked No. 17 in the 2025 class. She's one of three McDonald's All-Americans in Tennessee's freshman class along with Mia Pauldo and Jaida Civil.
If Tennessee beats Alabama or Missouri in the second round, it will face No. 3 seed Texas (28-3) in the quarterfinals on March 6 (8:30 p.m., SEC Network).
